Cajun Dave

We booked Cajun Dave and his band for our wedding in April of 2017. His performance was beyond terrible. We booked his band through GigMasters, but he asked us to pay outside of the website to avoid having to pay their fee. He charged us a $250 down payment prior to the wedding, but asked that we not mention that money in front of his partner Johnny because he didn’t want to split that portion with him. (SMH) Since our wedding was on the beach, we had to ask some of our guests to help him setup his equipment. He did not play any music for our guests during cocktail hour, because he did not setup his equipment in advance. He completely mispronounced our names during our formal introduction because Dave had his partner Johnny make the announcements, when we had never spoken with Johnny and Dave was the one that we had talked to for months prior to the event. He complained about being hungry during a five minute rant over the microphone during our reception while we were trying to eat, even though we paid for the band to have meals provided by the hotel. He was playing songs off of YOUTUBE (including commercials) of of his cell phone during the reception, even though we provided him with a CD that had all of the music on it already. I don’t think he has a computer. :( Finally, he has been sending us harassing e-mail ever since the wedding day blaming everyone else for his poor performance, with the latest e-mail he turned the blame to us because, “we didn’t give him the songs or itinerary soon enough”. Needless to say, I strongly discourage anyone from using Cajun Dave for any event, especially not a wedding. He was beyond disappointing and quite frankly, if these e-mails from him do not stop, we will be forced to seek legal action against him.
