The Zembo Shrine, designed by architect Charles Howard Lloyd in 1929, is truly an example of unique Harrisburg architecture. Located across from Italian Lake, the Shrine is an impressive structure designed in “the spirit of the North African styles”. The interior design includes examples of beautiful Moroccan influenced arches, chandeliers and ornate hand-painted motifs. The “Tile Room”, wainscoted with over 30,000 hand-crafted Tunisian glazed & colored tiles, is a magnificent example of expert craftsmanship. Available For: club or organization meetings or fundraisers, weddings & receptions, banquets, concerts, seminars, anniversary & birthday parties, proms, festivals, etc. Tours by appointment. See our website for further information. List of approved caterers is available at www.zembo.org
