Have you tried Richard Bell photography? He does amazing pictures.I brought one up from Atlanta before I knew about him but many I know use them.

Most of the better wedding photographers will not give up THE rights to the wedding photos. The rule of thumb….YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!However, with the economy as it is, you may still be able to find one to stay within your budget.

We used Project Duo. They’re out of ATL, but on of the girl’s brothers live in Charleston so they don’t charge an extra out of town fee. I end up with really amazing pictures (6 hours and a CD of the high res images) for $1800! Really, really great pictures (And I’m a graphic designer who works with photographers on a regular basis. It was really important for me to have good photos and I was prepaired for it to be my “splurge”. I found these guys and ended up not having to splurge on what I really wanted!)

I got married in Charleston two years ago and the guys that did our photos were fantastic. It’s Charleston Wedding Company (Paul Cheney) and their style fits what you seem to be looking for. Their phone is 843.475.3896. Our budget was very similar to yours, and they worked with us to stay well within it. Tell Paul that Christian and Catalina recommended them! Good luck.

Tillman Branch worked within our budget, and did 6 hrs with a cd and rights for $1250. We ended up adding a second photog and 2 more hrs, but even that only came to $1800. Definitely contact them. Their website has packages, but I contacted them directly, because none of them fit what I was looking for. Tell them the Czartosieski’s sent you!

We used Chi with Chi Photography out of Charleston and she worked well with our budget. We got all photo’s on a disc and photo rights as well for 1250.00. I couldn’t have been happier with the way all of my pictures turned out. Ours was a last minute wedding and she was great to work with on such short notice. Give Crystal Lee Photography a call. Crystal photographed my wedding and is absolutely fabulous!!! She is no doubt the best and so affordable. We had her and her assistant, Chris, for unlimited coverage the day of the wedding and were given a disc of all the photos and a release giving us all rights to the photos. She also did a bridal session for me earlier that day at a different location. I have contacted quite a few photographers and am having no luck staying within our budget (around $1500.00). We only need five or so hours of coverage and just want the rights to pictures (we don’t need an album or wall portraits, etc..) I prefer photojournalist style photos. Any suggestions?
