Ooo, I love your idea of having the different shades of pink and orange — that sounds like it would be really lovely in a tropical environment! Or, if you’d prefer your bridesmaids in a different shade of pink than your blush gown, such as a brighter pink, perhaps they can carry pink and purple flowers, or pink and orange flowers!

Don’t let the bridesmaid dress colors change the way you feel about your dress. If it was love at first sight, hang onto that! And build all the other plans around it. I’ve even seen bridesmaids in light pink dresses carrying pink, purple and orange bouquets for a really vivid pop of color!

Or bring that purple touch into your cake decor…such as with pinks, oranges and a touch of purple for depth. you can use all of these colors, just in different ways than with the bridesmaids’ dresses. The flowers, and the jewelry, gives you lots of color opportunities!!

New Buffalo only has the public beach- not really helpful for a wedding. There are no beach front hotels but there are a couple of “waterfront” hotels in the marina (Harbor Grand and Marina Grand). I am getting married in neighboring Sawyer (10 miles up Red Arrow) and have lots of info in the area.
