FYI – I found the following information online for Michele S. Rapaport:
Home address:
14726 Gourd Neck Dr
Montverde, FL 34756-3713
Also listed at this address is Seth Rappaporte (presumably Michele’s husband) who used to lease an office in the same building as Michele when she was running ‘Orlando Weddings’ (a precursor of ‘Visionary Weddings’) out of the 8516 Old Winter Garden Road, Suite 101, Orlando, FL 32835 address. Details of this info can be found on this web page:
http://www.orlando.bbb.org/codbrep.html?id=12002022&cons=y
I tried to include an image from google maps of where Ms. Rapaport’s home residence is in west Orlando, but I’m not sure if this website displays it or not. If not, just go to google maps (or mapquest) and enter the address as listed above. In the picture I tried to attach is a close up detail of the bigger map, and the letter ‘A’ in a red bubble marks the location of the property.
Remember, this is her HOME address (as best I could find), but please note it is located in a gated community so you might have to walk up to the house if you chose to drive there (if you fail to gain access through the gate in your car).
Good luck with your requests for reparations!

typical…..these bastards need to be shot…you poor things. I know what a struggle it is to pay for a wedding and I am hoping that I have enough to pay for our Reception when our RSVP’s come in. If I lived over there I would join in your crusade to hunt her down and make her life miserable. You can always come and stay with us in Australia for a honeymoon. We live near the sunshine coast which is just beautiful. YOu wouldnt have to pay for accomodation then….just a suggestion KEEP WELL

It is unfortunate that someone like this exist, and after over a year, she is still hurting people . At one of the most pivotable times in their lives. Do what you can to make the best of a bad situation and if you need a good planner/consultant and someone you can trust, feel free to visit http://www.mymarvelouswedding.com. But, in the meantime, remember what this is all about, marrying the person of your dreams. The rest is just “fluff”.
Have a good life!

Hi,
I received a message through the wedding mapper to email you.
I was reading a lot of teh stuff that happened to a few of the girls and that is terrible.
If you would like to work with me I can certainly help you, we are NOT unreliable like the woman that this blog is speaking about. We are a full service wedding company, legitimate in the state of Florida with references on all our work from past brides and vendors.
We would love to help you and any other brides make their dreams come true.
Take a look at our website, it gives you an idea of what we are about.
My contact information is listed below and as stated rest assured that references would be provided for you and any other bride on here requesting one.

I am sorry to hear about this. I was just researching this lady and got this blog. Needless to say I will be staying away from her and her company.
I am just starting to plan my wedding in Orlando. We have not decided on much yet (vendors, colors, location, etc.) but we are shooting for a date in April or May. If any of you plan to get married between that time we can plan our weddings in the same venue use some of the same vendors, center pieces, etc. and save allot of money. Of course the ceremony and receptions will be separate.
Just an idea I had. Feel free to email me at [email protected]

Wow I am sorry to hear that someone took advantage of you like that. If you still need some help I do know the ladies at the Wyndham and they know my reputation, you can certainly contact me and would love to help. This person that took your money is she a member of the Association of Bridal consultants? The reason that I ask is because they are a professional organization that I belong to and they have very strict educational and membership requirements and would not tolerate such behavior and if this is who she belonged to it would need to be reported as they do regulate us, however if she did not get her certification and membership there then it is a better business bureau and small claims court thing.

Oh my God! I cannot believe the damage that this woman has created for so many of the brides here in Orlando and also in the U.K. I am so furious at the fact that I lost a big deposit towards my wedding and cannot reclaim that money back. I have no choice but to go to small claims court and file against her. I am so sorry for all the other brides out there but WE are all hurting and we shall bind together to destroy her as she destroyed us and our dreams.

we tried to get advice from a solictitor here in the uk but was told it wouldnt be worth our while as it would cost us more in legal fees….so i’ve contacted Oprah, Orlando news ,and a few others but have had no joy with any of them .
our debit company has refunded our money but we have until oct before we actually know whether we are entitled to it full stop as Michele Rapaport can dispute this action ..
Birgitte cain have you asked Sterling photography if they know who done your videoing (if this are the company that took your pictures ) or MR may have used her husbands company Visionary lighting ?

I was married on June 7th and michele did my wedding. however she never told me who did my videography. She told me that we would get our video three months after the wedding. I am looking for the name of the company now. If anyone has any idea as to who michele used as her videographer I would greatly appreciate it. I hope you all find her and get compensated for your loss and all.
thank you

I totally agree…our vendors were absoulutly wonderful. They all came through for us with discounted prices to help ensure my daughter’s wedding was just what she wanted….If you wern’t aware of what had happened with Orlando Weddings you would have never known on the day of the Wedding as it was beautiful!! We can’t thank the vendors and the wedding planner that took on the wedding in the last week enough!!
As hard as it was to plan a wedding from Canada in Florida this is even harder…the media and the justice system just don’t seem to want to take this on. The Orlando Sentnal replied to one of my e-mails a couple of weeks ago saying he was going to look into the story…but I have never heard from him again…My daughter called…but he never returned her calls.
With over 50 brides and many vendors hurt by this you would think that something could be done to stop her!!! We really need to find someone that cares!
- Guest answered 2 months ago
Mother of the Bride. I am the Vendor you might have been referring to. I am working on a way to help get you guys the help. I am trying to get in contact with a few other vendors that were taken advantage of and see what we can do. We have still not been paid for some of the wedding we did. Like I was telling the one girl “Crying Bride” she is not only stealing from Brides she is now stealing from vendors. I agree with you on how the sheriff dept does not see this as a crime. I bet if someone walked in there and stole from them they would see that as a crime. Well this is the same. I say we all work together and continue writing. Sooner or later someone will pick this story up. DO NOT GIVE UP!
If even one person gives up. It only is another step for Michelle to do this again!

Has anyone tried small claims court? We are going to try it. It’s about $250 court costs and you don’t need a lawyer…
- Guest answered 2 months ago
My daughter and I have both written e-mails to the Orlando Sentinel, Oprah, and even Dr. Phil.
We have contacted the Sherriff Dept…but they say what she has done is not a criminal offence…how can this be. She has not only taken all our money before the wedding but has tried to take what we paid the vendors after she left us high and dry by saying I had asked for a refund…but to send the money to her and she would see that I got it. Thank heavens our vendor called us to ask why and we were able to stop her from stealing that too.
Lawyers…are only looking for the quick buck and with the money we have already lost it is hard to come up with the fees they want from us to even look at this.
We need all the help we can get but the laws in Florida don’t seem to be on our side!!

I have written to Channel 6 and Channel 9 as well as the Orlando Sentinel…
- Guest answered 2 months ago
I don’t blame you…This is just ridiculous. You know what. Why don’t you give me your email address and I will contact a guy that helped me out years ago. He works with Channel 10 news. I also have a few people I know that work over at 8 on your side and they are always up for a good story. I mean seriously I don’t see why any news would want to pass this up. I mean this is huge. This woman has been stealing money from woman like you all over the world. Breaking every law and ever bit of trust that people have. How could they NOT want to do a story like this? This is just crazy. I will call today and see what I can do. Like I said leave me your address and I will let you know what they say.
- Monica answered 2 months ago
Yes, oh yes. I have been in contact with channel 6 and channel 9 news in Orlando. Both have said they would air the story but niether one has. I write constant letters to oprah, two and three a week to no avail. Smaller talk shows never have anything on like our story, it is always “who is the father of my child” or “I slept with my sisters husband”. I am getting very frustrated at this point.
- Guest answered 2 months ago
I am telling you ladies…The more of you that REFUSE to give up and NOT let this woman get away with it the better. Has any of you thought about calling a Talk Show and making this a public thing? I mean seriously this is a HUGE story. You have people from all over the US and UK being scammed by this one person and yet the cops won’t do anything and the local news haven’t done anything yet…So why not bring it to a bigger eye and let someone else step in and see what they can do to help.

We wished to hire Orlando Weddings to be our wedding coordinator. We gave a $3,500 deposit and never received a correct contract to execute. We tried numerous times to get a correct contract but dates, times, details were always incorrect and the staff was almost impossible to get a hold of. We demanded our deposit be returned, as no work was ever done on their part. Michele Rapaport (owner) denied our request, claiming that the
$3,500 was already broken out and given to all vendors to secure our dates. I checked with every vendor, only one out of five vendors were ever given any money. The amount of that deposit was $500. Michele cut off all contact with me, never returned any money to me, and told the vendors that I canceled my wedding.
I have supporting emails between myself and Orlando Weddings; a phone call log; emails from vendors supporting that they have never been given a deposit for our wedding; copies of 3 different contracts with mistakes – none were ever signed; certified letter sent to Michele Rapaport demanding the deposit back.
